With a nasal resonance built for ancient Roman coliseums and a natural flair for “heightened circumstances”, I’ve been handing out Tony-award-winning performances from my living room since the age of 3. At the end of 8th grade, my mom suggested that I take my solo show to a different venue: my high school theater department. That’s where I first discovered the power of art, community, and “zip zap zop”. I got my degree in Musical Theater, began exploring culturally responsive art making, moved to NYC, and started performing all around the world. After years of alternating between West Side Story and Sister Act, I realized a pattern in the roles I was being considered for…a young latino man with a gun in a gang with a thick accent. Desperate for complex storytelling I was faced with a choice: “do I wait for the industry to change?” or “learn new skills to help change the industry.” The latter was my start into a world of storytelling that seeks to honor and celebrate the cultural wealth of diverse communities. And now I get the JOY of continuing to collaborate with passionate, talented artists in creating a more inclusive and just world for all of us. Join us.

I was born in Mexico City and raised in Cuernavaca, Morelos. As a child, when I wasn’t on the soccer field, I was dreaming on the basketball court. My diet growing up consisted of, but not limited to, Lucas, Miguelito, and Chamoy. After graduating from high school, I moved to San Antonio, the city where I became a serious Spurs basketball fan and studied psychology. Today, I am an Assistant Professor at the University of San Francisco, a lover of Inca and Xoloitzcuintle dogs, and a proud godmother known by her niece and nephew as “Nina.” My personal and professional areas of interests are antiracism, abolition feminism, and trauma responsiveness. I am honored to be sharing some of these interests at Kimzin Creative.

As the youngest of four children, I was born to disrupt. I am a rare breed of human who chose to leave the sunny Bay Area skies for a colder climate in the northeast. I hold a degree in Political Science and French from Gettysburg College and a Master of Social Work from Temple University. My vision as a child was to be an attorney but once I realized that the lawyer life was not as shown on Law & Order, I decided to change course. As the daughter of undocumented immigrants, raised by boisterous advocates, I have always had a sense of fairness and justice, so it’s no surprise that I ended up in the field of social work, advocating for those that are marginalized and oppressed. My roots are in Oakland but Philadelphia has always felt like home and is where I spent a significant part of adult life. I now live in Delaware, after sowing my wild oats with the city life, but am fortunate to be able to fulfill my dreams of living a bi-coastal life and split my time between the northeast and the Bay Area. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling and trying new eateries. I’ve also been known to engage in a Real Housewives of New Jersey binge-a-thon when the mood strikes.

Producer. Dramaturg. Small Plates Enthusiast.

he/him

Believe it or not, my 9th grade job placement exam said I should be a dramaturg. Other kids got dolphin trainer, so needless to say, I was less than thrilled. But as I grew, I became more and more obsessed with all the ways live performance can amaze, challenge, and inspire. And while I don't know any dolphin trainers, that test got one thing right. I graduated from the University of Arizona with a BFA in Theatre History and Dramaturgy, I began a journey across these United States producing new plays and facilitating conversations that empower artists and audience members from all backgrounds. Eventually, I landed in old and cold Boston, Massachusetts where I was delighted to learn that the reputation of being a homogenous town of Irish Catholics was just another White lie. Working deeply with community partners and with an incredible team of producers, I have seen magic happen as artists from all over the globe inspire healing dialogues around everything from segregation to burger toppings. The arts have long been a home to me and I'm so proud to be working with Kimzin Creative to elevate and inspire this creative ecosystem.

Diversity Professional. Broadway Actress. fueled by coffee.

she/her

Fueled by Wawa coffee and a dream, I am a Philly local living out my motto of "artistry onstage and off!" My typical day finds me running between NYC public school classrooms, board rooms of some of NYC's top entertainment companies, the Majestic Theatre performing in The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway, and the gym (sometimes). Hailed by a very kind reviewer as a "combination of vocal power and tenderness," my voice can be heard on over a dozen cast albums, film and television projects, and national commercials. I am grateful to be an award-winning stage actress with credits including multiple Broadway national tours, and regional productions. Behind all of that, I am truly just a girl who believes that the arts can change the world. I really do. I'm committed to using my voice to advocate on behalf of others, to provide access to arts-rich experiences for young people everywhere, and to dismantling systems of oppression. This is why the Wawa coffee is so needed. To strategically fuse all aspects of my artistic life together, I founded Lindsay Roberts Consulting, LLC where I work with other mission-aligned folks on making our world better through the lens of creativity. I am Director of Programs for Arts Ignite, an international arts education organization, I love shopping and travel, and I am the luckiest wife of my Broadway hubby, Tamar Greene. www.lindsayroberts.com; IG: @lindsayrobertsconsulting

Born and raised in Sonoma, I was the quiet kid with a hidden passion for singing. The thought of singing in front of others always terrified me. My favorite place to sing was always, and will always be, in the car, where I can sing my heart out. Because of my passion for music, I decided to attend Dominican University as a Music Major. Being surrounded by other musicians and being required to perform in front of crowds helped me come out of my shell, (although I was still petrified at every performance). However, not too long after I realized studying classical music just wasn’t for me. After taking some time to figure out my next steps at Santa Rosa Junior College, I transferred to Sonoma State to study teaching. My passion for teaching arose during my time volunteering at Dunbar Elementary. The connections I made with the students reminded me of the times spent looking after my younger siblings, which I actually enjoyed. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies along with my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Being the daughter of immigrant parents, I have the honor of calling myself a proud, first generation college graduate. Leading as an example for my fellow low-income, Latinx community. Hoping to inspire more creativity through my work with Kimzin Creative!
